5 years ago, I started a wacky tradition:
write a daily song for one week every year
in a self-imposed bootcamp I call
“7 Songs in 7 Days”
To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of
7 Songs in 7 Days,
I thought I’d try a first for me:
write 30 Songs in 30 Days.
It wouldn’t be quite so scary to hold myself accountable alone personally, but for these annual challenges I release these songs exclusively to supporters each day at an archive/membership area I call The Vault.
There’s one other thing that makes the challenge tricky: each song must include a prompt (a phrase) submitted by one of the active Vault members.
The Vault is a Patreon-style membership platform self-hosted and lovingly handcrafted to provide members with a friendly and comprehensive user experience.
Vault members receive immediate access to years’ worth of otherwise-unreleased content, as well as actively participate in the generation of new content on a (typically-)monthly basis.
This allows listeners to engage on a deeper level with music they enjoy, while directly supporting the creator that makes it without any middle-men or distribution delays.
Memberships start at 3USD/month (though there are discounts for Annual commitments), include immediate access to HOURS of unreleased music, are easily changed/canceled, and prorated for the month a member signs up. Whether you like to casually observe from the sidelines, or dive in real deep, there is a tier for you.
All members regardless of tier get access to the monthly songs (and daily songs during the 30 Songs in 30 Days September event) through a blog-style feed on the platform, as well as delivered directly to the member’s email address.

BONUS: Sign up at the Listener Tier or higher (monthly) OR any annual tier before September 30, 2021 and get a limited edition Rainbow Plated Lex Land commemorative “Key” lapel pin!

“Knowing songwriting is [her] passion and career, letting us be involved is such an unbelievably generous gesture that I can’t fathom how to possibly thank [her]. Enjoying the end result is candy.”
