Hello January!
The latest:
Happy New Year! December was grueling and exhausting, with *at least* one performance commitment almost every day from December 1-24 (on 24, I did 5 Christmas services and then a 3 hour jazz gig that ended at 11pm 😩). Normally I’m able to spend Christmas Day/my birthday in pajamas and drooling into a pillow post-holiday-gig-madness, this year was a little different and I was following through on still more social and family commitments through the end of the year.
Finally I had a couple days off to catch up on sleep and get back to square one (which is just, eternal catch-up mode for me I guess at this point?), and have been trying to re-establish my basic routines and take a fresh and positive approach to the starting of a new year. A little challenging since I actually have quite a few IRL performance commitments this month, but I’m trying to take things just one step at a time and not get overwhelmed.
This month's deliverable(s):
I’d like to not make predictions about what I think I will be able to get done when I’m already feeling behind and it’s only the 6th, so I won’t make any promises about specific deliverables in this post (though there WILL be one/some). BUT, I can tell you that my top tasks regarding the Vault, aside from some recurring-content I’d like to deliver to you here that I’m still working out how I want to approach, are to (1) finish up the October OBDR public-release-projects (this will require a big software purchase so timeline TBD), flesh out some content-and-copy/user-experience stuff here within the Vault “platform,” and try to finally finish migrating over the YEARS of Patreon content from 2016-2021.
These will all be BIG jobs, especially while juggling live events, but I’d really like to have them complete by the end of February, at which point most of that housekeeping and backlog will be dealt with and we can move forward with generating new content. So I hope you’ll be patient with me for these first couple months while I get that sorted and get into a new workflow system for this space. You were so kind and supportive last year and I really want to repay that kindness with a lot of cool exclusive stuff in 2023. I have lots of ideas. (Probably too many.)
