Okay this one is CUTE!
I went into this post-gig writing-session with the intent of coming up with a super-mellow, very slow autumnal Bossa Nova to add to the “fall mix.”
Everything I tried felt a little uninspiring and tired, until I started vibing on the little chordal movement that makes up the general motif of this song… I think it’s more of a cha-cha, perhaps? I asked my husband Eduardo and he just said… “engh, I dunno, def something ‘latin-y’ 🤷♂️” Since he’s more the expert between us on the topic of latin music between the two of us I’ll just leave it at that 🤣
Since this is a phone demo I’ll apologize that it’s not the best quality audio, but this time particularly because: I interrupted Eduardo practicing conga in the garage with a plaintive, “wanna jam? 🥺” (a phrase that literally never comes out of my mouth). I thought it would be cool to give you a better picture of what I was imagining in my mind while writing this, so I made him come lay down some conga on the demo for y’all and we were just “live mixing” in the room on the fly ❤️
Hope you like it! It’s already stuck in my head so might be a good sign. Or it might be a bad one… maybe I pulled the melody from something i’ve heard in the past that was buried in my subconscious? You can tell me. 🙃
