It’s been a minute since we’ve had a new moorhaunter tune, I think! Pretty sure there was one for 7 Songs in 7 Days this past year, but before that, maybe not since last winter or spring??
I was recently inspired to try my hand again at a basic pop tune- I haven’t tried it in a while and wanted to dust off my wannabe-Max-Martin-melody-writing. Basically this whole thing came to me, wordless, a couple weeks ago, so for this month’s Vault song I decided to try to get some words on it. I wanted to encapsulate a young-summer-love vibe, so while the lyrics are not super deep, I think they are fun and relatable, and, hopefully, easy to sing along to 🙂
and… by gosh, another song with the word “SOMETHING” in the title 😑
Our DEBUT EVENT (aka our exclusive monthly hang-out broadcast) for March is TODAY (3/19) at 3pm ET. If you can make it I’d love to play this song live for you for the first time ever. There isn’t much more to go over/talk about, but I’d love to visit with you if you’re available. I do have some thoughts/ideas about future plans and if I can formulate them enough I’d love to share them with you.
Incidentally, it might be good if we have a short meeting today, because I have an IRL Austin event tonight at The Wildflower Center - if you’re local and looking for something chill to do tonight, it’d be great to see you.
