I've been quiet, mostly because I've been really busy with a run of IRL gigs where I was performing daily for the whole of last month, and then I needed a couple of days to regroup. I don't know if you operate like this, but basically everything else had to get put on pause while I was doing that run of shows and so I've had to spend the last few days picking up the pieces. Today is my first official day "back in the office" so to speak, although I've been doing little bits here and there to get back on track.
My physical space has been a huge source of anxiety and frustration for the last few months. I had started, but not been able to finish, several reorganization/purge projects, so I'm finally trying to get that under control. The big one that has anything to do with you is that I moved my streaming setup and recording rig into another room in the house, for a variety of workflow and environmental reasons. I've mostly done all the big components and am hoping I will be mostly finishing up the cable management/organization element later today... especially because... Wednesday is our ONE BIG DARK ROOM night for May! (5/10, Twitch, free, 8pm ET)
During this forced hiatus away from my normal routine I was able to do a lot of soul-searching and review about my current life, systems, and goals, and there are going to be some big changes soon. I want to have more of my ducks in a row before I divulge everything, so you'll be hearing more about it before the month is up.
To not leave you in too much suspense, key takeaways for you are: I have every intention to get back to a regular broadcasting schedule with more streams each week, and there will still be singles coming from The Vault - I got a little backlogged here but I will work my way through. I was hoping I could post something new for you as my "return" message but I didn't want to leave y'all hanging any longer and I'm not sure when I'll have the stuff I was working on throughout March and April ready.
Since the aforementioned big changes will require loads of work to implement, I'll probably be moving slow and I will keep you updated as often as I can without boring you. New original songs are again on the chopping block because I just don't have the bandwidth for that kind of output at present.
Thank you for your support and I can't wait to share what I've been working on and ideating with you. I feel like I'm entering a new era, and I am filled with an optimism and enthusiasm that I haven't experienced in a while... can't wait to take you along for the ride.
