This month’s Keyholder Concert (Vault-exclusive evening livestream) is happening tonight!
Until we get some guests back into the Blue Room, it can be a challenge to come up with a program that is special and different considering I make myself available for live music performances pretty frequently.
Over the years I’ve moved the annual “7 Songs in 7 Days” challenge/pledge-drive until later into the year, but our very first “7 Songs in 7 Days” took place from March 6 - March 12 SIX years ago this month (2017). Since most of you who are the most active here at The Vault and on the livestreams currently weren’t around for the debuts of those songs, we’ll be celebrating tonight by playing all of those in a row for our monthly exclusive concert.
There’s more - I’ve migrated over those original posts from Patreon and have also updated the respective player/playlists to include those songs.
In case you didn’t know, or need a reminder, there are several ways to browse the archives:
To review songs by reading or checking out their original posts by the year (so 2017 in this case), you can visit the post archive.
To review songs by their title and going to the original debut post, you can visit the Songs A-Z archive list.
To listen to the songs, the playlists pages will be your friend. They come in a variety of flavors, like “2017 Original Vault Songs” (all original songs posted in 2017), songs from specific projects organized chronologically (like “One Big Dark Room Song Vault”), and more.
Interesting fact: while I haven’t been able to migrate everything from Patreon yet (it takes about 15-30 minutes PER POST, and there are… wait for it… FIVE HUNDRED FOURTEEN OF THEM! Surely not all of them will be worth migrating since they might be little reminders or some other nonsense, but, in case you were wondering why the progress has been slow…😬)
Despite my almost having made only a dent, there are already FIVE HOURS of songs in the “All Vault Original Songs” master playlist. FIVE! Another interesting note? There are about 40 Songs in both the Lex Land and OBDR lists, so while we call “Lex Land” the primary project, it’s interesting to see that over the last several years, the writing time has been divided pretty equally.
I am so incredibly grateful for the excuse to have been more carefully archiving all of my work over the better part of this last decade - I have you to thank for it. The Vault has really been the next step in this, because it can be so much better organized and laid out.
Okay, back to tonight’s concert…
The set tonight will include songs from all the different projects, Lex Land, One Big Dark Room, and moorhaunter - that first 7s7D it looks like we actually only got a single Lex Land song, with three moorhaunter tunes and three One Big Dark Room tunes making up the rest. (How cool is it that I have a good avenue for performing all this MH songs now after all this time of them just sitting in the dark!?)
This does mean, unfortunately, that I won’t be premiering this month’s new song tonight - it is forthcoming.

General Info about the Monthly Concerts:
Each month, Keyholders have access to a special evening livestream that is different in format from the free livestreams that happen the rest of the month online.
Keyholder concerts typically include the live debut of that month’s newest original song, some special theme, or a featured guest.
These concerts will mostly take place on the second-to-last Tuesday of each month in 2022, with a few exceptions. All the dates for 2022 have been posted in your monthly concert tab, on your VAULT Homepage, and the Lex Land event calendar.
They are administered through a Private YouTube Live link that is distributed to active Keyholders each month through announcement and reminder posts/emails, and will also be available from The Vault in the monthly concert tab.
In order to comment in the chat during the live event, you will need a YouTube account. You do not, however, need a YouTube account just to watch the event.
If you’re a member of our community forum and opt-in to Vault notifications, you’ll also receive push notifications on the day of the event (an early one to remind, one a little before we start, and once we’re live, usually).

Other Notes:
Occasionally these special event concerts are open to the public with single-use ticket admission available for purchase at the Lex Land Store. Because these events are exclusive to Keyholders (and ticketholders), I kindly request you do not share these private event links around the web - but please feel free to watch with your loved ones.
