7S7D D3: “Break Up”
Prompt for this one was "next to nothing."
Not gonna lie, y'all, today was a little tough. I had something in my backpocket I've been thinking about working on, so I set out on that path for a little while and was just, like, pounding my head literally repeatedly on the coffee table with the weight of my own skull after a while... just couldn't make any progress.
Finally I decided to switch gears... I've been wanting to write some more stuff along these lines lately so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm pretty happy with it for a rough sketch. Phew, this one requires a lot of breath control... it will require a bit more practice to get perfect but it has some potential.
The idea behind this one was trying to forge forward with a friend and/or past lover (possibly the other parent of a child) with whom one has met with impassable disagreements. Releasing, surrendering, moving on, and remembering what you like about them in the first place. Wouldn't it be nice to hang on to all those good things about the people with whom you used to be close?
Thanks so much for your support on this journey with me, and for your gracious kindness and patience. It was my intention to get to more administrative tasks today and get those PDFs, etc up and out, but meetings and other life things got in the way. Should get that done tomorrow.
