Hello September!
The latest:
I finally did it, and managed to make the name change publicly official (just before this past weekend, on September 8). Was it as well-executed as I would have liked? No, but it was a bottleneck that I really needed to get resolved so that I could move on to other things. The other stuff will have to wait.

August Recap:
One major component that I felt REALLY had to happen before doing this was publishing some new releases for this project, and that’s something I’ve basically been working at accomplishing all summer.
Fortunately, despite some hiccups and having to switch gears a bit (from the originally-intended releases of Let’s Start Again and One Small Thing), I did manage to complete and release THREE brand-new singles for the Holly Frost project: Beyond the Laughing Sky, We’ll Find a Way, and the big one that I’m super proud of, Sleepy Sunday (which was July’s Vault original song! so how cool is that?!).
Despite losing 6 days because of an internet outage, deep work on 5 total tracks, a handful of IRL gigs, and (mostly) maintaining the livestreams, I also still managed to get you a new original song: I’m Coming Along, a 1920s-inspired Holly Frost track including a prompt from Patron Brandi.
The originally scheduled August Debut Night was supposed to happen right at the tail-end of my internet outage, so it unfortunately had to be skipped. But there will definitely be one this month come hell or high water, because… IT’S ABOUT THAT TIME!
Event + Broadcast Schedule:
It’s September, which can only mean one thing: our annual SEVEN SONGS IN SEVEN DAYS event! So I’m taking myself to task and doing a little bootcamp where I will write a song every day including your prompts for 7 days, for the… 7th year in a row! 🤯

This year’s 7s7d will take place from Friday September 22 to Thursday September 28. I’ll be taking September 29 “off” from Vault stuff because often I need a little extra time to make sure I am caught up on charts, but we will close out the fun with a special Saturday evening stream where I’ll perform all the new songs live for the first time, chronologically, on September 30.
(This year’s 7 Songs will be a little extra hectic for me since I’ll also be juggling daily performances at the local theater. But I think I managed a few of these in the early days while getting to and from several day jobs, so I’m just going to hope the coffee will help get me through this year 😜)
Until then, things around here will be pretty normal/quiet. You can join us for Mouseketeer Mondays (where I play Disney songs mostly from the 30s-60s with a few slightly newer ones thrown in), or the recently reinstated a Twitch-version of Crooner Coffee Hour on Fridays. As previously mentioned this month’s Debut Night is scheduled for September 30, and will be the big hoorah for this year’s 7 Songs in 7 Days stretch. There I will do live-premieres of any new stuff, catch you up on the latest progress, and get some feedback from you for future projects. The link is available for you at the concert tab in the menu.
